Custom Acrylic Reptile Enclosure
The CRAWAM Custom Acrylic Reptile Enclosure is designed for reptile keepers who want excellent visibility, strong airflow, and convenient front access in a clean, modern enclosure format.
Except for the top panel, the enclosure body is constructed from acrylic. Both side panels feature elongated ventilation slots, while the top uses a rust-resistant aluminum mesh panel to support additional airflow and overhead equipment placement.
The current enclosure configuration also features a front-opening acrylic door, making feeding, cleaning, and everyday interaction easier.
Key Features
-
Acrylic Enclosure Body
Acrylic construction is used throughout the enclosure body, providing a clean, transparent, display-oriented design. -
Strong Side Ventilation
Elongated ventilation slots on both side panels help promote consistent airflow throughout the enclosure. -
Rust-Resistant Aluminum Mesh Top
The large top mesh area supports ventilation and provides a practical surface for compatible overhead heating or lighting equipment. -
Front-Opening Access
The current design uses a hinged front acrylic door for convenient feeding, cleaning, and routine enclosure maintenance. -
Custom Sizing
Width, depth, and height can be reviewed according to your available space, reptile species, and project requirements.
Engineered for Airflow
Ventilation is one of the defining features of this enclosure style.
Both side panels use long ventilation slots, while the large aluminum mesh top allows additional air exchange from above. Together, these features create a comparatively open and breathable enclosure structure.
Final ventilation requirements should always be considered together with the reptile species, enclosure size, heating equipment, humidity goals, and room conditions.
Front-Opening Access
The current enclosure configuration features a hinged acrylic front door, giving the keeper wide access to the interior.
Front-opening access can make everyday tasks more convenient, including:
- feeding
- cleaning
- changing decor
- replacing substrate
- routine inspection
- interacting with the animal
Door hardware and locking details can vary depending on the final custom configuration.
Top Aluminum Mesh for Heating & Lighting
The enclosure uses a rust-resistant aluminum mesh top instead of a solid acrylic top.
This design improves ventilation and can make it easier to plan compatible overhead equipment such as heating or lighting fixtures.
Equipment type, fixture distance, UVB output, and heating requirements should always be selected according to the reptile species and husbandry plan.
